she was confused why he had stopped her. Then he got out of the car. and walked towards her. crossing the road he came in front of her. and stopped. she looked into his eyes. He turned a little and extended his hand toward the road.

she blinked her eyes in disbelief. He was making way for her. She started to walk smiling under her mask. He was walking beside her. not touching her. and time slowed. Car honks faded in thin air. The silence was thick. they walk without words

They were walking. crossing the road. akaay extend his hand air. like iron man making a car to slow down. akaay was alert. He was just looking at her. Anantha was looking down . Her eyes found the road interesting.

while they were crossing the road someone was watching them too. Unknown of his present, they both were in their world. When they reached they both felt eyes on them they both turned.

looking in a direction where they felt curious eyes lurking on them. But no one was there so they turned again. akaay opened the door for her. Anantha was hesitating. She looked at him one more time. akaay just nodded his head.

Anantha sat in the passenger seat. akaay ran in front of the car and took the driver's seat. He looked at her. She seems uneasy.

“Chale” he asked her. she nodded her head.

and he started driving. While driving he was glancing at her constantly. The place wasn’t far but that drive felt long. anantha was scared her past memories were coming slowly. Being locked in the car again made her feel suffocated.

She always walked or took autos if it was urgent. She tried to sit in the car with both uncles but still. it didn’t work. The whole car is locked, windows closed. she started sweating. her hands started to tremble.

akaay notice little tremor in her hands. he narrowed his eyes. he pushed the button and window opened. anantha flinch a little. she turned to him. and he abruptly turned his face. she smiled at him. and look down. An unknown smile came to his face too.

After a few minutes in silence they reached the love & latte cafe. akaay parked the car he got out of and ran in front of the car. and opened the car door for her. He gave her hand to hold but she didn’t take it.

She got out of the car by herself. He narrowed his eyes.

“What?” she asked. looking at him.

“Nothing” he didn’t complain. “Let’s go,” he said, leading the way. Anantha smiled under her mask again. and something in her heart felt relief. He didn’t force her. and she felt guilty too that she couldn’t give him what he wants. he opened the door for her. extend his one arm.

“After you ma’am” he said. making her smile more. He smiled at her, giving her a wink. and she widened her eyes.

“What?” he asked. looking innocently.

“Nothing” she said and almost ran inside. not looking at him. He chuckled loudly. shaking his head. she heard him chuckle and turned. He was walking behind her.

They saw a table. He pulled a chair for her. She sat and said thank you. He sat opposite of her. looking at her beautiful brown eyes. She was doing the same. Then a noise came.A waiter came with water. and asked for an order.

“What do you want to order sir?” The waiter asked. and akaay looked at her. she got confused. She never went to cafes. She ate out. She doesn't know anything. Then the waiter looked at her too.

Anantha Pov

They both are looking at me right now. But why? akaay raised his eyebrows.

“Can you come after a few minutes? My girl is still deciding, I guess?” he said.

My Girl. He said that I heard right? or am I hallucinating again. I am his girl. really. It sounds nice.

The waiter left with a nod. Akaay pointed at the menu and said. which made me come from my la la land.

“Any favorite food or dishes you like to eat.” he asked nicely. like he wants to know.

I looked at the menu. and it felt like it was written in ancient language. This is called food. It all looks like the names of dinosaur. I couldn't decide. what if it tastes gross and throws up in front. That would be the worst.

“You never tried anything. Am I right?” he asked. gently. He didn’t judge me. but shocked was written on his face. I nodded and looked down again. He shook his head again. With a smile he called.

Akaay Pov

oh god. This girl hasn’t tried anything. She was living in a cave. Don't worry, I'll make you experience every beautiful thing in the world.

“Do you like sweet or spicy?” I asked again. in a low voice.

“I don’t know. Maybe Sweet” she said in a low tone. I think she was embarrassed of herself. She is so cute.

“Okay then. Let's start with something sweet, "I said. She nodded her head. oh the way she agrees whatever i say. my heart skipped a beat.

Author pov

He called the waiter with two fingers. That looks intimidating. A waiter came and he started to blabber again. the way he speaks with confidence and a killer smile that should be researched.

“A coffee for me. a cream roll and chocolate shake for my Girl.” he said to my girl again. and it made her heart flutter. She was looking at him. admiring him. He looks handsome today.

The waiter left with a smile. She was still looking at him. akaay didn’t even turn. But his next words made her choke on her breath.

“Done checking me out” he said and turned to look into her eyes. She turned her face. He chuckled lightly.

“Can I see you without maske” he said. and anantha gulp harder. She has a scar near her chin. She felt ashamed of showing him. He won’t look at her the way he looks at her. She felt ugly.

what he might think the same. what if he sees me thinks she is ugly and leaves her to rot. She can’t seem to decide. Then she heard his voice.

“Only if you are comfortable. don’t think too much.” he said in a low gentle voice. Anantha's eyes widened in disbelief. How can a man like this exist in this cruel world? she nodded her head.

She looked around her. There were not many people but she wasn’t sure how to show her face in front of so many people. and akaay understands that the way she was looking around.

Akaay called the waiter. He said something in the waiter's ear. The waiter left with a nod and of course a smile on his face. A few minutes later people started to walk out. Waiters and other staff also left.

The whole cafe seems empty. She suspiciously looked around her. Then she looked at akaay. and narrowed her eyes.

“What?” akaay asked innocently.

“You did this,” she asked.

“Why would I..” he was speaking he saw her eyes glaring at him. “Yes I did, you were uncomfortable. and I want to see. I'm sorry , can you forgive me? please.” he said in one breath. and made a puppy face.
